“I blame and thank in equal measure C&SC’S Julian Balme for getting me into racing. I did his race at Oulton Park for American sports cars in 1992 in my Shelby GT350 for my ‘bucket list’ – I was hooked! I’ve now raced more Shelby Cobras at the Le Mans Classic than anyone else, and I’m the only four-time winner of the HSCC’S Historic Road Sports title. I’d love to give the Spa Six Hours another go – my attempt was more ‘Spa Six Minutes’! But having Sir Stirling Moss as my co-driver at the Revival is my highlight.”
