CANNONS ON TOP IN TRIALS

-

After just one event in 2020, Historic Sporting Trials Association action resumed on 24 April with 48 entrants for the Ron Faulkner Trophy Trial in Hampshire. Surrendering just three marks, Mark Howse steered his Cannon to victory and there was a tie for top spot in the Historic class, as Dave Wall (Canhi) and Nigel Bennett (Cannon) each dropped eight marks. Graham Wilson was clear before his FRS76S suffered fiddle-brake failure, but he still claimed the Post Historic spoils. Andy Gowen (Facksimile) won the Cannon Challenge Trophy.

Long Compton Historic Sporting Trial in Warwickshire on 15 May boasted a 62-strong field and it was close in Historic between the Cannons of Ian Wright and John Fack. Wright took Best Overall and Fack Historic; Dave Oliver won Post Historic.
