BARGAIN ASTON SOUGHT
In 1966, Nigel Walker bought a 1957 Aston Martin DB2/4 MKII, registration 30 DPE, for £500. Two years later when he was posted to the Far East he sold it to Clover Leaf Autos on the A30. He’d love to know if it still exists; email janie@westonmill.co.uk
KEEN FOR FURTHER DETAIL
Drew Keen is restoring his 1967 Mk1 Mini Cooper, RYL 775E, and would like to fill gaps in its history. Sold via Kennings of London, the car was later owned by Robert Fry of Newbury. The previous keeper was Danny Kettle in Cheshire, who got it from his father. Email drew@keenasmustarddesign.com
SPRITELY RACER RESTORED
Don Westcott wants to add to the history of an Austin-healey Sprite he has restored. Registered SDB 220 in Manchester in 1960, by ’ 76 it was in Somerset with a Sean Grothier. The car was later raced, and the Midget and Sprite Club has helped Westcott retain its original number. Email dondwapr@aol.com
