RC2 ULTRA-FLOW TECHNOLOGY
Boyesen’s RC2 insignia represents the combined holistic approach to intake system performance. It is a cyclic testing and design process that starts with the needs of the riders and ends with the perfect intake solution for each intended application.
Boyesen Engineers use a combination of flow-bench tests, Dyno tests and rider feedback testing to define specific power delivery characteristics that can be improved upon. Based on the data collected from these tests their engineers select the best reed materials, specify the exact reed tensions and optimise each application’s reed design for maximized airflow and air velocity. This process results in trials-specific solutions that allow riders to completely tailor their machines power characteristic to best suit their own style and power delivery preferences. Together, RC2 ultra-flow innovation creates a new technological benchmark in trials intake performance.
Boyesen’s next generation TR series reed systems result in a very cost-effective performance solution that provides superior response, engine efficiency, horsepower gains and increased torque to meet the needs of modern trial riders.
RC2 ULTRA-FLOW INNOVATIONS T2 Epoxy: Fuel resistant reeds
The most durable materials means the most lifespan. Boyesen’s trial-specific reed systems feature category-leading toughening additives to increase reed petal lifespan by resisting breakdown from damaging agents found in fuel. This is done to ensure a long-lasting seal between the petals and the intake tract time and time again, which results in more consistent horsepower for longer periods of time between general intake reed maintenance.
MS+ Flow Optimization: Superior air flow
MS PLUS Optimization uses dual-staged reed design to distribute the engine’s pulse forces over more surface area. By using a dual-stage reed stack, Boyesen Power Reeds achieve peak horsepower and response. The top petal is lightweight and resilient for crisp throttle response at partial throttle or low RPMs. The stiffer, bottom petal is ported to provide maximum flow and horsepower at higher RPMs.
X-Cross Carbon Matrix: Specific Carbon layup
Model-Specific variable tension reed petals. Boyesen’s Carbontech XCROSS matrix woven reeds feature aerospace carbon material interwoven into tension combinations that maximize power delivery and deliver superior off-idle throttle response and a lighter revving feel. Boyesen engineers specifically tune the carbon matrix tension using a proprietary weave formula that is tested and optimized to give the best response and the most rideable power delivery that money can buy.
