MONTESA SURPRISES – THE NEW 4RIDE!
Celebrating its 70th year the iconic Spanish brand Montesa has made a bold move with the introduction of the new fourstroke 4Ride model. The new Montesa 4RIDE was showcased in November to the media at Honda’s headquarters in Spain, in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda (Barcelona). With the inclusion the new 300RR and the 4Ride Montesa will now be offering a total of four different models, as the Cota 4RT260 and the Race Replica will continue to be produced in the Spanish production plant. With the new 4RIDE Montesa is hoping to reach a wider range of clients, not just the usual trials fans, by reinventing the concept of off-road. This new model was made to enjoy the environment in a fun and easy way.
The 4RIDE can still be identified by Montesa’s classical traits: advanced four-stroke technology, the quality of its components, and its uttermost respect for the environment. In fact, the model has been designed completely by the technical team at Montesa Honda’s production plant in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. The development team of the 4RIDE took the basis of the Cota 4RT260 to create a motorcycle for adventure riding. It features a completely revised gear ratio, offering the rider more comfort at a steady speed and improved performance on long rides. With the same objective in mind the ergonomics have also been revised, incorporating a seat and elevating the height of the suspension system including both the front fork and the shock absorber. The model is expected to be available for sale in February 2016.
