TECH COMP

A trials boot is a boot; that’s a fact, but how do you change the basic design idea? You move outside the box and reach out from another platform into new areas of design. The new Hebo ‘Tech Comp’ boot uses innovation from the winter sports industry, where with motorcycling the foot and lower leg area is exposed to injury in extreme circumstances. The new boot’s highlight is the Boa® closure system, which uses a ‘hook and loop’ TPR strap. This enables the closure wire to afford the boot the opportunity to keep the boot secure and comfortable for the wearer, as it can be easily adjusted at any time. The wheel that tensions the wire can be rotated to increase or decrease tension and is situated in a secure area at the rear of the boot. With no exposed straps to snag on any objects it allows for an easier passage through rocks, etc. Now on sale it has undergone an extensive testing period at the cutting edge of motorcycle trials in the World Trials Championship with Sweden’s Eddie Karlsson on the four-stroke Montesa Cota 300RR in 2015.
