It’s a huge round of ap­plause to Dave Rhodes as in late Novem­ber 2018 he was in­ducted into The Cana­dian Mo­tor­cy­cle Hall of Fame, which was founded in 2006. Since then more than 130 dis­tin­guished mo­tor­cy­clists and or­gan­i­sa­tions have been in­ducted into The Cana­dian Mo­tor­cy­cle Hall of Fame, which is a non–profit as­so­ci­a­tion with char­i­ta­ble sta­tus gov­erned by an in­de­pen­dent board of vol­un­teer di­rec­tors from across Canada.

The an­nual Gala was held at the Burn­aby Delta Ho­tel in Van­cou­ver BC to recog­nise the In­ductees for the Class of 2018. They were as fol­lows: Peter Ga­gan, for his work in pro­mot­ing Vin­tage Mo­tor­cy­cles; The Shanks Fam­ily, who were in­stru­men­tal in form­ing the Vic­to­ria Mo­tor­cy­cle Club; Joseph and Vera God­sall, both long-time mem­bers of the Cana­dian Mo­tor­cy­cle As­so­ci­a­tion and MX pro­mot­ers; Al Per­rett, Cross Coun­try and ISDE com­peti­tor and a Mo­tor­cy­cle dealer for 50 years in Bri­tish Columbia; Wally Klam­mer, Mo­tor­cy­cle en­thu­si­ast, race pro­moter and jour­nal­ist; Dan Amor, one of the best ever Cana­dian Cross Coun­try and ISDE com­peti­tors who sadly died at the age of 28; Dave Rhodes, tri­als en­thu­si­ast and long-time tri­als dealer and clerk of the course at the 1975 FIM Cana­dian World Round; Alan Dyck, Cana­dian Mo­tocross Cham­pion, team man­ager and pro­moter; Rick Hobbs, race me­chanic for many fa­mous teams both in Canada and the USA; and Steve Cre­vier, one of the most suc­cess­ful Cana­dian road rac­ers of all time and win­ner of nu­mer­ous Cham­pi­onships.

At the Satur­day evening pre­sen­ta­tion the room was filled with more than 300 peo­ple from the Cana­dian mo­tor­cy­cle world.
