Letter to the editor
You asked if readers had any suggestions for future content. I would love to see a feature on entry-level semi-autos for clay shooting. I have an over-and-under and I’d like to dabble with a semi-auto. Some advice on the pros and cons of a semiauto for clays, plus their practical use and maintenance would be most welcome. With the winter coming, I plan to keep shooting and would welcome a guide to the best gloves to wear for clay shooting in the cold.
There’s one little niggle I’d like to mention too. My son and I are both lefthanded, and looking at guns for sale online it’s impossible to see at a glance which guns are left-handed. It’s usually
possible to click through various filters to get a left-handed selection, but I’m amazed it’s not just a standard part of the listing. Not only would it benefit myself and other left-handers, but surely it would help businesses sell their stock too. SW
The editor says: Thanks for your suggestions – they are both good ideas and we will try to address them in future issues. As a right-hander myself, it’s easy to overlook the problems faced by left-handed shots, so it’s useful to be reminded now and again. If left-handers have any specific problems they would like our experts to comment on, you are always welcome to write in.
