CARLY CONFESSES…

-

“She tells Tracy that she had a friend who lost a baby,” Gemma explains. “Everything happening with Johnny is bringing back memories of what she went through. She’s got secrets and baggage she’s not told anyone, not even her parents – she’s not ready yet.”

This week we see Carly with a baby, but we don’t know who it belongs to. Gemma adds: “There’s a lot more to come – and I’m very flattered to have been asked to take on this storyline.”

VERY HAPPY THIS IS BACK TUE 9 FEB, 9PM, BBC1

Almost two years ago (is it that

long?!) we were gripped by this

drama, following Yorkshire cop

Catherine Cawood (an amazing

Sarah Lancashire), who was set

on bringing down the man who

destroyed her family – a handsome

chap who just happened to

be played by James Norton

of War & Peace fame. Series

two is finally here, and it’s a bit

“spot the familiar face at first”

(Amelia Bullmore from

Bailey , Downton Abbey ’s Kevin

Doyle and Julie Hesmondhalgh,

aka Corrie ’s Hayley – plus

Katherine Kelly as a new cop).

We promise you’ll be gripped within

minutes, when Catherine makes a

gruesome discovery (luckily linked to

bad boy Tommy – still in it and even

more dashing with a crew cut).

this ain’t no coincidence.
