CARLY CONFESSES…
“She tells Tracy that she had a friend who lost a baby,” Gemma explains. “Everything happening with Johnny is bringing back memories of what she went through. She’s got secrets and baggage she’s not told anyone, not even her parents – she’s not ready yet.”
This week we see Carly with a baby, but we don’t know who it belongs to. Gemma adds: “There’s a lot more to come – and I’m very flattered to have been asked to take on this storyline.”

Following the antics of a fresh
intake of recruits at HMS Raleigh
in Cornwall – the only place to
go if you want to be a sailor in the
Royal Navy. If they can get through the first
two weeks of intense training, not to mention
issues like exhaustion and homesickness, then
the likes of 32-year-old Craig – who sees this as
his last chance to make something of himself –
might well end up becoming a new recruit…

VERY HAPPY THIS IS BACK TUE 9 FEB, 9PM, BBC1
Almost two years ago (is it that
long?!) we were gripped by this
drama, following Yorkshire cop
Catherine Cawood (an amazing
Sarah Lancashire), who was set
on bringing down the man who
destroyed her family – a handsome
chap who just happened to
be played by James Norton
of War & Peace fame. Series
two is finally here, and it’s a bit
“spot the familiar face at first”
(Amelia Bullmore from
Bailey , Downton Abbey ’s Kevin
Doyle and Julie Hesmondhalgh,
aka Corrie ’s Hayley – plus
Katherine Kelly as a new cop).
We promise you’ll be gripped within
minutes, when Catherine makes a
gruesome discovery (luckily linked to
bad boy Tommy – still in it and even
more dashing with a crew cut).
SUN 7 FEB, 8PM, BBC1
An unplanned pregnancy causes drama when the
young chap in question wants to go and study,
while Trixie is finally ready to let Barbara and the
Vicster go forth and enjoy a romance. Elsewhere,
another tragic tot is born without
limbs, which leads Dr T to think
this ain’t no coincidence.
