Danielle: “I’m waiting for Michael to propose”

Model Danielle Lloyd opens up about her future with boyfriend Michael O’neill and life with her three boys

fter telling Closer in A December that she hoped she finally had her “fairy-tale ending” with boyfriend Michael O’neill, Danielle Lloyd was later snapped wearing a diamond ring on her left hand while the couple holidayed in Barbados.

But when Closer caught up with Danielle last week, she admitted she’s still holding out for electrician Michael – who she met in a bar last March before getting together with him in September – to pop the question.

She says coyly: “I’d never say never to getting married, but I suppose he [Michael] would have to ask first. I’m waiting for him to propose.”

MOVING ON

Danielle was left heartbroken in August 2014 following the collapse of her marriage to footballer Jamie O’hara – with whom she has sons Archie, five, Harry, four, and George, two. The pair tied the knot in May 2012 but split amid speculation he’d been unfaithful.

Later that year there was more heartache when her romance with nightclub owner George Panayiotou fizzled out. Then, last August, just weeks after ending her five-month relationship with Dubai-based property developer Tom Jimson, it was claimed he was trying to sell X-rated footage of her.

But now she’s put the past behind her. Speaking at The Sun Military Awards, Danielle tells us: “Michael’s got a really good relationship with the boys – I couldn’t ask for anything more. I’m a single mum now and the three boys keep me extra busy.”

MUM DUTIES

She adds: “I enjoy being a mum. The cuddles are the best – and seeing their smiley faces every morning. However naughty they’ve been through the night, you can’t shout at them when they give you a big cuddle and say they love you.”

She’s developed and designed her own protein range, Fit ‘n Yummy, and goes to the gym four times a week, but 32-year-old Danielle doesn’t deprive herself of the occasional glass of wine.

“I didn’t do Dry January and I had a glass of wine last night, but when you’ve got three kids you need a drink!” she jokes.

So, what does the rest of 2016 have in store for Danielle? She says: “I’ve got loads of things in the pipeline and would love to design kids’ clothes. One thing I have promised myself is that I’m going to work really hard.”
