With a toned-down wardrobe, new hairdo and an Instagram account full of cosy family snaps, Jordan, has been working hard to rebrand herself as the ultimate working mum for her new role as a panellist on Loose Women . Now sources say she’s determined to use the show as a springboard to land a primetime TV presenting show – and in a bizarre twist, wants ex Peter Andre to co-host with her.

Jordan and Peter endured a bitter war of words in the years since their 2009 divorce after four years of marriage. But it seems the pair have reached a truce and it was reported last week that Jordan and Pete had an emotional heart-to-heart outside her West Sussex home.

And insiders say Jordan – who had her own reality TV show with Pete when they were married – is determined to turn the pair’s tentative new friendship into a lucrative gig. A source says: “There were already plans for Pete to join the show as an occasional panellist, but Katie has been pushing for them to appear together as she thinks they’ll make even better TV now they’re divorced. She’s seeing Loose Women as a springboard for them becoming a mainstream presenting duo. She thinks they will be TV gold.”

But sources say Pete, 42, who has 13-month-old Amelia with wife Emily Macdonagh, wants to take things one step at a time.

A pal says: “The pair didn’t speak for years, so as much as Pete loves that they’ve put their feud to bed and are on good terms for the sake of their kids, he isn’t ready to appear on TV together. He’s heard through the grapevine about her ambitions and thinks they have a long way to go before anything like that could happen.”
