Ywhen all the girls are together having a laugh – like at Trixie’s keep- fit classes. They were such fun t o do, e ven if Barbara’s tr ou blesom e thighs were a topic of c onversation! Of course there are many upsetting scenes in Call The Midwife , but I don’t get emotional watching myself – I’m too busy being critical. Do you think people had a greater sense of community in the ’60s than they do now? I really like how there was such a strong sense of looking out for each other back then. The idea that everybody knew everyone else, kids were always out playing on the streets and people really seemed to trust each other.
