Cheryl: “Three men want to date me!”

After a painful marriage breakdown, pals say the singer is being pursued by three admirers – and couldn’t be happier

s she partied in A Barbados for best friend Kimberley Walsh’s recent wedding, Cheryl Fernandez-versini looked the happiest and healthiest she has in months.

And pals say as the 32-yearold singer adjusts to single life following her reported split from French businessman and restaurateur Jean-bernard Fernandez-versini, she’s had a huge confidence boost after being chased by a string of eligible men.

A source says: “Cheryl is starting to feel like her old self again. She says she is being chased by three different men and the attention has really given her something to smile about after a horrible few months.

“One potential date is a very successful businessman, one is a music executive and the other is a sports star. She’s being coy about revealing their identities – but her phone is constantly buzzing with messages from them. It’s putting a spring in her step and she’s laughed that she’s spoilt for choice when it comes to offers for dates.”

Closer reported recently how the star had “got her fighting spirit back” after celebrating Kimberley’s wedding in Barbados. Friends of Cheryl credited old flame Adam Walsh (Kimberley’s brother), who was also at the wedding, for supporting her through the aftermath of the messy breakdown of her 18-month marriage to Jean-bernard – which reportedly ended in January. Cheryl first met Adam in 2003 and they were thought to have briefly dated again before she got together with JB.

And sources say that Adam – who’s now dating ex- Hollyoaks actress Twinnie-lee Moore – has urged Cheryl not to wallow in her break-up and to look to the future.

A source says: “Cheryl took on board Adam’s advice to not wallow and to move on with her life. Now she is being bombarded with dating offers she is realising that there are other possibilities out there.”

It’s a welcome change to how Cheryl suffered after previous romances failed. She divorced footballer Ashley Cole after four years of marriage in 2010, following allegations that he had cheated on her. She later said she “coped in public and crumbled in private.” This was followed by ill-fated romances with dancers Derek Hough and Tre Holloway and her whirlwind marriage to JB.

In the past, she’s blamed her worryingly thin frame on relationship stress, and last year

‘Cheryl’s enjoying some lighthearted, flirty chat’

called for body shaming to be made illegal after being criticised for her tiny figure.

Now sources close to the star say she’s refusing to indulge in self pity, and her Girls Aloud pals Kimberley and Nicola Roberts are encouraging her to throw herself back into the dating game.

As Closer previously reported, Cheryl and Nicola are even planning a girlie holiday to LA to find eligible American men.

A source says: “Cheryl isn’t promising anyone a relationship, she’s being honest and isn’t leading anyone on.

“She’s just enjoying some lighthearted, flirty chat and has told her friends she’s looking forward to a bit of fun after everything she’s been through.

“When she feels she is ready to start dating again she wants to pick the right guy to take that big step with.”
