decision to use a picture of Kai looking upset as the England team were booed off the pitch after losing to Iceland “shocking.”

A source says: “Coleen is fiercely protective of her boys and she’s on the warpath. She refuses to sit back and let her family become public property. Wayne has warned her that she’ll just make things worse by kicking off, but it’s only causing tension between them as she thinks he should be speaking out more.

“Coleen knows how important Wayne’s career is to him, but she’s made it clear she won’t stand for anyone trying to hurt her family or use them as scapegoats every time something goes wrong on the football pitch.”

DEATH THREATS

It’s not the first time the couple have been targeted by fans. Police were called in 2010 when an angry mob waited outside their Cheshire mansion carrying banners with death threats when it was rumoured Wayne, 30, was leaving Manchester United for rival team Manchester City.

MOVE TO LA

This latest fallout has even led Coleen to contemplate a future move after close pal and fellow WAG Alex Curran – married to ex-england captain Steven Gerrard, who took his family to the US when he began playing for LA Galaxy – said she’d love it if they joined them.

A source says: “Alex has suggested that a move to LA could be a fresh start. LA Galaxy has expressed an interest in Wayne before, and Coleen knows the Beckhams loved life in California when David also joined LA Galaxy.

“She’s usually such a homebody and Wayne is under contract at Man United, so nothing can happen anytime soon. But secretly she’d love to consider a move in the future. It’s something she’d never been open to before as she’s so close to her family, but she’s had enough of facing abuse and a potential move could be one way to escape it all for good.”
