“If you’re happy with your body show it off!”

t the height of her A modelling career she could demand up to £100,000 a shoot – and a quick look at the sexy selfies on 44-year-old Lisa Snowdon’s Instagram page show she’s still as comfortable as ever in front of the camera.

The star, who left modelling behind to launch a successful career as a radio DJ and TV presenter, has raised eyebrows with her skimpy bikini snaps and nude pictures, but she insists it’s her right to show off her hard-earned curves.

NEW LIFE CHAPTER

She tells Closer: “If you’re feeling happy with your body, I don’t see the problem with showing it off. I’m in my 40s and work hard on my figure. Also, most of those pics are taken when I’m on holiday – as soon as I’m tanned and well rested, there’s no stopping me snapping away!”

And Lisa – who’s a size 10 – says she’s noticed a big change in her body since leaving her breakfast radio show in December, where she’d spent more than seven years setting her alarm for 4am.

She says: “It’s great to have more time to dedicate to my passions. I’ve taken up dynamic Pilates [a more intense version designed to build lean muscle] and I love the effect it has on my body. I have to exercise – both for my body and my mood. The next chapter of my life is all about self-improvement. I’m dedicating it to cooking and travelling more.”

After splitting from her boyfriend of one year, Adereti Monney, last year, London-based Lisa is remaining tightlipped about her love life – although she revealed in a recent interview that she’s found happiness with a new man.

And something she feels especially passionate about is being a good role model to girls considering surgery.

COSMETIC WORK

She reveals: “I was 19 when I was scouted and, at that time, lip fillers and Botox weren’t an option. But it’s hard for young girls now when they’re looking up to people like Kylie Jenner [who admitted having fillers at 17]. She’s gorgeous, but it’s crazy for under-18s to have work done. If you’re unhappy when you’re that young, you need to work on the inside rather than have surgery.”

It’s that refreshing attitude that endears Lisa to so many women, who Tweet the star for her fitness and beauty tips.

“I love hearing from people saying how refreshing it is to see someone with curves,” she says. “I do look after myself, but I also like the odd drink and a burger.

“I feel like I’m finally getting a good balance – life is good.”
