kerry: “I’ve taken George back”
As Closer’s exclusive pictures show, Kerry Katona has reunited with her ex George Kay, with pals saying she is integrating him back into family life
She’s been in S emotional turmoil for weeks over whether to take back her ex, but last week Kerry Katona was pictured together with George Kay for the first time since she accused him of assaulting her, leading to a trial that collapsed in court last month.
Our exclusive pictures show George dropping Kerry, with her children Heidi, nine, and Max, eight, from a previous marriage, and their daughter, Dylan-jorge, two, at the station before Kerry took the kids on a trip to Scotland.

And pals say Kerry has secretly taken back George – who was accused of attacking Kerry and possessing a banned weapon in October but was acquitted after she withdrew her evidence. The bodybuilder has always denied the charges.
Closer reported last week how George, who’s been allowed to visit Kerry regularly to see Dylan-jorge, had been spending more time at their home in Crowborough, East Sussex, and had even been helping her get back in shape with secret workouts.
GROWING CLOSE
A source says: “Kerry was torn over whether to take George back, and tried moving on, but she’s gradually telling friends they’ve grown close again and she can’t live without him. George is spending almost all his time at the house.
“She’s agreed to forgive him for all the drama in the past and is determined to make their relationship work. Kerry planned this break in Scotland to spend some quality time with the kids and answer any questions they have about her and George, and as soon as they return home she’s vowed to throw herself into picking up the pieces of their relationship. She says he’s the only man who makes her happy.”
The pair’s four-year romance has been dogged by drama with constant rowing. In July 2014, George, 36 – who was sentenced to six years in jail in 2008 for blackmail – was detained under the Mental Health Act after he was seen screaming in the street that someone was trying to kill him, which he blamed on a mix of sleeping pills, steroids and alcohol. The following month their joint hen and stag party was cancelled due to an “alcoholfuelled bust-up.” In July last year, Kerry, 35, briefly kicked out George over his “party lifestyle,” and days later he was arrested on conspiracy to commit robbery, but was released without charge.
REBUILDING TRUST
Kerry – who was last pictured in public with George on 30 September last year – ended their relationship weeks later when he was accused of assaulting her after arming himself with a taser-style device. In November she said: “There’s no going back with George and me. I’m still madly in love with him, but sometimes things have
got to come to an end.”
Kerry is now working on rebuilding the trust between George and the kids, particularly Molly, 14, and Lilly-sue, 13 – from Kerry’s first marriage – who flew to Scotland from Ireland where they’ve been staying with their grandparents, and who Kerry admits she confides in.
A source says: “Kerry’s made it clear her kids are her No1 priority and George is being really supportive. She knows she could face a backlash for taking him back, but she feels she knows what she’s doing.”
The singer – who last month travelled to Australia for an Atomic Kitten reunion gig – has told pals she also plans to focus on her career, and last week Tweeted that she will always “bounce back” from setbacks.
A source reveals: “Kerry’s determined to get her career and relationship back on track. She’s enjoyed performing again on tour with the girls and she’s desperate for everything to work out. Kerry still feels she can have her fairytale ending – and she definitely sees her future with George.”
