‘I won’t waste any more tears on Nick’
He only reconciled H with his estranged wife three weeks ago, but Nick Knowles’ marriage is under pressure again after his former fling, Gemma Oaten, accused him of dumping her while they were in bed together.
Nick, 54, announced he was splitting from his wife of three
years, Jessica Rose Moor, in January this year, insisting the break-up was amicable and that their “focus continues to be the happiness of Eddie,” their twoyear-old son.
Rumours of a romance with Gemma began in September, when Nick and the Emmerdale actress were spotted looking cosy at the TV Choice Awards.
But Gemma, 32, claimed last week he “dropped her like a ton of bricks” once their relationship hit the press.
The soap star revealed that, while the couple were cuddling in bed, Nick’s demeanour turned cold when he realised photos of them as a couple had been published in the papers.
She said: “In an instant he completely changed. It was all about him and how it was going to affect his family. It was really cruel.” Nick responded on Twitter saying the fling with Gemma happened during a “turbulent and traumatic time” for him. Now pals say Gemma is determined to get revenge following the humiliating episode.
An insider says: “Gemma feels mortified by Nick, who she now thinks may have used her – despite him telling her he’d fallen for her on numerous occasions. She’s been turning to her brother and mum, who she’s incredibly close to, to help her through this time.
“She tried to contact Nick but he hasn’t responded, which has made her want to seek revenge. She’s told pals Nick won’t get away with how he’s treated her. She’s livid.”
Gemma has been unlucky in love before – after splitting from actor boyfriend Andy Barnes in April 2015, she was then dragged into relationship drama with ex Strictly Come Dancing couple Kristina Rihanoff and Ben Cohen. Gemma and Ben exchanged friendly texts after meeting at a charity event, which made Kristina uncomfortable.
But Gemma wants to turn her luck around and find someone to take her mind off Nick.
A source reveals: “Of course Gemma’s upset, but she’s also determind not to waste time crying over Nick. She’s hellbent on finding a new man to flaunt as quickly as possible.”
