Michelle Mone: “My body is like a business – it’s time to relaunch!”

Newly single bra entrepreneur Michelle Mone isn’t worried about her recent weight gain…

She famously lost 7∂st after vowing never to touch chocolate or cake again, and after a roller-coaster year in which she split from her golfer boyfriend and injured herself in a freak accident, businesswoman Michelle is ready to bounce back.

“I fell down a manhole in February and broke my foot and ankle,” the 45-year-old mum-of-three tells Closer. “I had a special boot on my foot and was out of action for three months.”

The injury meant Michelle hardly left the house, and her weight crept up by 2st as a result. She’d previously shed 7∂st in 2010 – dropping from 17∂st to 10st, and going from a size 22 to a size 10.

NO REGRETS

“Since I broke my foot I wasn’t training,” says Michelle. “So I’d just sit and eat and not go to the gym, I ate too much. I’d have a blowout and just think: ‘What the hell!’ I was over-eating. It’s my own fault – I was the one going to the freezer for Häagen-dazs!”

But she doesn’t feel guilty about indulging. “I loved it,” Michelle laughs. “Some people might think, ‘Well, you’ve put it on again...’ But I don’t regret it.”

And Michelle – who founded lingerie company Ultimo in 1995 – adds that breaking up with her boyfriend of 12 months, Stefan Soroka, 50, played a part in her renewed efforts to get back in shape.

“When you’re with someone you’re more relaxed with your body,” she says. “Now I’m focused on myself again. I’m happier now than I’ve ever been.” And with good reason – Michelle has already dropped from a size 14 to a 12 since starting her new exercise routine this summer. “I treat my body like a business – it’s time to relaunch it!” she says. “I’ve got about 15lbs to go, but I will get that bikini body back!”

EMBRACING CHANGE

Now, Michelle hits the gym every day, and junk food is firmly off the menu. “I love the spin bike and cardio work,” she says. “Today I had a four-shot skinny latte and porridge with honey,” she reveals. “At lunch I had a prawn salad, and tonight I’ll have dim sum, steamed fish and Champagne – but only one glass as I’m up at 5am...”

Michelle, who operates on about five hours’ sleep, admits to having had Botox. “And if I ever needed a facelift, then why not?” she adds. “I think you should do whatever makes you feel good. If there was something I was really unhappy with, I’d change it.”
