“i’m Angelina’s double – but men are too scared to date me”
Veronika Black has spent £15k to look like Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie, but it’s had a negative impact on her love life
ith her plumpedup W lips and sharp cheekbones, model Veronika Black often gets mistaken for actress Angelina Jolie.
But, surprisingly, Veronika says her resemblance to the 41-yearold star – who has announced she’s divorcing Brad Pitt – has left her struggling to find love.
The model – who’s had breast implants, lip fillers and a nose job modelled on Angelina’s, all costing £15k in total – claims “decent” men are too intimidated to approach her, and she’s now been single for over two years.
UNLUCKY IN LOVE
Veronika, 28 – who’s 5ft 7 and from Vancouver – explains: “I never attract nice men – they think that because I look like Angelina I must have a challenging personality, but I’m very easy-going. I only get asked out by men who want one thing; when they find out I’m not that kind of woman, I never hear from them again!”
Growing up, Veronika felt unattractive. She says: “I was overweight, flat-chested and had frizzy hair. Boys never looked at me twice.”

By the time she was 19, Veronika was so insecure she decided to get her first boob job, going from a 32A to a 32DD, paying for it with savings.
She says: “When I was a teenager I used to collect photos of Angelina. I thought she was the ideal woman and I wanted to be like that too.”
A few years later, Veronika went under the knife again and increased her boobs to a 32J, as well as getting lip fillers, to look more like her idol. She completed the look by dying her hair darker, as well as losing a stone and dropping from a size 12 to an 8 through dieting and exercise.
She says: “I loved Angelina’s look – it made me feel confident.”

And soon Veronika started being mistaken for the star.
She explains: “I was working as a shop assistant when a guy came in and screamed because he thought I was Angelina. It snowballed and people started asking for selfies with me. I played up to the attention – copying her make-up and working out five times a week. Last year I had a nose job to look even more like her – I showed the surgeon a photo of Angelina to copy.”
Veronika now works as a glamour model. She explains: “I often do lingerie shoots for magazines and online publications. And a Canadian men’s magazine called me ‘The Canadian Angelina.’
“I’ve dressed up as Angelina’s character from Tomb Raider, which got me 20,000 likes on Instagram, so now I’m hunting for lookalike work.”
But Veronika’s priority is to find Mr Right. She explains: “I get asked out a lot on Instagram by sleazy guys who want me to send naked photos. It’s frustrating.
“My friends are settling down and I want that, too. I know my likeness to Angelina is putting men off, but I love looking like her. Hopefully, one day, both me and Angelina will have a happy ending!”
