kim: “I’ll be the next Angelina Jolie”

As she turns into a recluse after the Paris raid, pals say Kim Kardashian is planning an image overhaul

She’s been a shadow S of her former self since being held at gunpoint during a horrifying armed robbery in Paris earlier this month.

Now insiders tell Closer that the recent attack on Kim Kardashian – who has covered up in hoodies on her rare public appearances – has given her a massive wake-up call. She now wants to pursue charity work in a bid to overhaul her image.

A source says: “Kim’s been a different person since the robbery. It’s shaken her to her core. She’s no longer interested in being a star who is only seen for what’s on the surface; she wants to do something meaningful.

“Kim’s been doing a huge amount of soul-searching and has been seeing a therapist, as well as reading self-help books and writing a diary, all in a bid to change her life.”

Reports surfaced last week that her extravagant 36th birthday party was cancelled and instead Kim was given a pair of £40k ruby earrings by her husband Kanye West.

The star – who is mum to North, three, and 10-monthold Saint with Kanye, 39 – has decided to model herself on Angelina Jolie, who has been praised for her humanitarian work, in order to rebrand herself.

Kim posted a selfie supporting presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton earlier this year, and has been involved in charity campaigns over the years. Now sources say that is her focus.

A source says: “Kim feels she’s become a hate figure the way Angelina once was. She’s determined to turn that around and has set up meetings with the UN about becoming a goodwill ambassador. She has researched issues in war-torn countries so she can start to fight for their causes.”
