She sparked fears S for her health last week after some embarrassing slip-ups on the live X Factor shows – and insiders say Sharon Osbourne is finding it hard to cope with her tiring schedule.

Sharon – who was hit with a cheating scandal earlier this year after husband Ozzy’s affair was exposed – looked confused as she appeared to forget the name of one of her acts, and some viewers accused her of being drunk.

SHUTTING DOWN

After being asked to introduce Finnish singer Saara Aalto in the sing-off, she said: “Now, it’s the songbird from abroad...” before looking panicked and asking fellow judges: “What’s her name?” It followed another incident where she introduced the wrong act.

Sharon, 64, hit back at claims she’d been boozing on the show, joking on Twitter: “Oh my Lord, if I did have a drink I would remember people’s names.”

But insiders tell Closer there are fresh fears about her demanding schedule. British-born Sharon has been jetting back and forth between her homes in London and LA, completing the 11-hour flight twice a week to be by her husband’s side as they work on their marriage.

The talent show judge recently opened up about her battle with depression, which got so bad last year she was hospitalised after suffering a mental breakdown. Describing the moment she cracked during her US show The Talk in September, she said: “I had a complete and utter breakdown. I woke up in Cedars-sinai hospital... and I knew nothing. I couldn’t think. I couldn’t talk. My brain shut down.”

Sharon’s personal life took another blow earlier this year when it was revealed that her husband of 34 years, Ozzy, 67, had an affair with celebrity hairstylist Michelle Pugh, 45, leaving the star heartbroken.

FEELING HEARTBROKEN

Despite Sharon – who is mum to Aimee, 33, Kelly, 31, and Jack, 30 – insisting their marriage is “back on track,” insiders say she’s struggling to deal with Ozzy’s infidelity, which has led her to turn to her X Factor boss Simon for help.

A source says: “Sharon’s confidence hit rock bottom after Ozzy’s affair and, while she’s trying to put on a brave face, it’s still affecting her. She’s determined to keep flying home to LA each week as they work on rebuilding the trust. And with the pressure of filming live shows it’s no wonder there are slip-ups.

“She has a lot on her plate and Sharon’s been leaning on Simon, who’s suffered from depression in the past, so he knows it’s a constant battle. He’s urged her to seek help while she’s in the UK rather than just relying on her LA counselling sessions.”

The source adds: “Simon’s told Sharon he’ll do whatever it takes to ease the pressure on her – even offering to give her a few weeks off – but she’s adamant that once she gets more help, she’ll be back to her old self.”
