‘Harvey’s bullies are hateful – they should be charged’

-

TV presenter Ruth Langsford has hit out at the “hideous” trolls who have tormented Jordan’s disabled son Harvey – calling for them to be charged and praising her pal for being an “incredible mother.”

Ruth, who has appeared alongside Jordan on This Morning and Loose Women, said she has reached out to the mum-of-five since the sick online abuse hit the headlines – and wants those responsible to be punished.

Speaking to Closer at the National TV Awards last week, Ruth, 56, said: “Harvey is enduring absolutely hideous trolling and those people should be ashamed of themselves. I can’t believe the sick words they use; that’s someone’s child they’re saying it about. Katie is the most incredible mother, she’s unbelievable – there’s the most incredible love between her and Harvey. I think the trolls are just hateful, shameful people. If they are found, they should be charged – it’s hideous harassment.”

The presenter went on to explain how she’s offered her support to the mum-of-five.

She adds: “I’ve been talking to Katie about it. That’s what women do – we get together and discuss our private lives and personal issues. We’re supportive. If we didn’t have female friends, I think things would be a lot trickier to get through.”
