‘I’ll make peace with Christian’s ex’
She was thrilled to welcome her “beautiful” baby boy, Montague “Monty” George Hector Horner, two weeks ago, with her husband Christian Horner.
And pals say that becoming a mum again has strengthened Geri Horner’s desire to end the animosity between her and Christian’s ex-partner.
Millionaire racing-car boss Christian, 43, left his partner of 14 years, Beverley Allen, in 2014, and reportedly confirmed his relationship with Geri just six months after Beverley gave birth to their daughter, Olivia. Christian and former Spice Girl Geri – who also has daughter Bluebell Madonna, 10, from a previous relationship – were reportedly “deeply saddened” when Christian’s parents snubbed their wedding in May 2015, saying they disapproved of the relationship. A source says: “Geri is sick of being painted as a homewrecker. She wants to be a good stepmother to Olivia, and for all three siblings to grow up with a good relationship, so she is determined to be on civil terms. “She knows there’s been a lot of heartache, but thinks that inviting Beverley over for children’s birthday teas is a good start towards building bridges between them.”
But insiders say pals have warned 44-year-old Geri not to hope for a quick reunion.
A source says: “Geri knows that relations with Christian’s family and his ex are in a bad way, and as much as she wants to fix things, her pals have tried to keep her expectations realistic. They have tried to warn her that it may take a very long time for the fallout to die down.”
