Jordan’s new mission: “I’ll launch a TV show to track down sick trolls”

After vile online bullies target her disabled son Harvey, pals say Jordan is determined to confront them on a new series

- By Rebecca Twomey

She’s never been one to take an insult lying down, and last week Jordan publicly outed an online abuser who had continually mocked her disabled son Harvey.

In a series of videos on her Instagram account, the 38-yearold named and shamed the man she believed to be behind the vile abuse of her 14-year-old son – from her relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke – and demanded an apology. Jordan’s 10-year-old son Junior also joined his mum in calling out the troll in an Instagram video.

NAMED AND SHAMED

A newspaper then hunted down one alleged troll, Mark Williams, 30, at his parents’ house in Thornaby, Teesside, where he told reporters: “I’m not interested.” But he reportedly later apologised and deleted his offensive posts on Twitter – a reported 3,000 of them. He then Tweeted: “@Misskatieprice I didn’t think you would see my tweet, I realise it was in bad taste and shouldn’t have said it. I’m sorry if I upset Harvey.”

It was then revealed that he reportedly lost his job and went on to issue a full apology, writing: “I’d like to sincerely apologise first of all to Katie Price, Harvey and their family for the immature and thoughtless comments I have made. Secondly, for those who know me, close friends and family, I would like to apologise for the shame I have brought to you all. To everyone who I have upset and angered with my comments please know this is not how I truly feel, the comments were thoughtless and I realise I showed no consideration for anyone else’s feelings and deeply regret my actions.” He added: “I am deeply disappointed and ashamed of my actions and it is only now I realise that my actions truly are unacceptable.”

Pals say Jordan – real name Katie Price – is now determined to confront anyone who’s ever publicly insulted Harvey, who has limited vision and suffers from autism, ADHD and Praderwilli syndrome.

A source says: “She is feeling on top of the world

about it; she wanted these people to be named and shamed and now they have been. She says for Harvey’s sake it’s a positive thing this one troll apologised, and she hopes it’ll be a lesson to everyone else. She’s feeling good – she’s had lots of public support and a great reaction from the media, she’s basking in the limelight.”

THE UPPER HAND

Last year, Jordan, 38, secured a regular slot presenting on Loose Women and had her own reality show, Katie Price’s Pony Club, and now pals reveal that she plans to work on a TV show, where she’ll track down and confront trolls.

A source says: “Katie is disgusted by the offensive messages and pictures posted about Harvey and thinks the people who do it should be called out and shamed. She’s not afraid of confrontation, but wants to have the upper hand to show how awful it is.

“She’s been thinking about how to do it in the most effective way. Right now, her idea is to do a TV show to track down the trolls in person, so she can expose them to their families and work colleagues for the bullies they are. She’s always wanted to do a Jeremy Kyle-style show – but she’s pitching it to Loose Women so she can do it as a special series.”

It’s not the first time Jordan – who’s also mum to Princess, nine, Jett, three, and Bunny, two – has stood up to trolls. Clearly sickened by the cruel memes and picture-based jokes that have been shared on social media by users, Jordan has shamed the culprits by writing their names in her comments and revealing them in screen grabs.

‘she isn’t afraid of facing the abusers’

ON A CRUSADE

And in May last year, she appeared on Loose Women with Harvey, who swore live on air when asked by the panel what he wanted to say to bullies who had been targeting him online.

Insiders say Jordan wants to continue with her crusade against the haters by appearing on TV with Harvey again – and not hiding who he is.

A source says: “Friends have warned Katie that appearing on national TV with Harvey only opens him up to more cruel taunts, but she insists she isn’t afraid of facing the abusers head-on. She likes to stoke up the attention as she thinks these trolls deserve to be revealed.”
