Chloe: “I cringe about that night with Calum – but I’ve no regrets”
Fresh from leaving the CBB house, Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry confides to Closer about her love of partying and how it can occasionally go too far
Her time on Celebrity Big Brother may have been short-lived after her shock eviction two weeks ago, but Chloe Ferry has certainly made a lasting impact. As she entered the house a week into the show, the 21-year-old Geordie Shore star brought with her a tsunami of shock value, with her sexual antics and drunken behaviour.
She quickly dominated headlines, flashing her bottom and gyrating on a plastic dog as she made her X-rated entrance, saying: “If you’re horny you can just grind your cli*t on this.”
Chloe went on to make repeated attempts to kiss reluctant housemate Calum Best – even trying to get into bed with him. The following day, she was so hungover she fell asleep in the diary room.
LEFT RED-FACED
But despite her bubbly persona and attempts to brush off any embarrassment, Chloe does admit she can still be left red-faced. When asked if she had any regrets on CBB, she replies: “I haven’t watched any of the episodes back, but obviously there was that night with Calum. I’ve woken up hungover before with no memory of what I’d done the night before. I was cringing afterwards. I also forgot how much older Calum is than me, he’s probably old enough to be my dad – but he’s still handsome!”
Chloe was given a dressing down by show bosses in the diary room after inappropriately rubbing her naked behind on John Grimes from Jedward, but she appeared unrepentant and went on to give him a lapdance.
When we ask Chloe if she relied on alcohol to have a good time, she was quick to shoot down the suggestion.
Chloe tells us: “I don’t need to drink. Young people my age go out all the time and get drunk, but I don’t need it to have a good time, I just like it. At the end of the day, I’m on Geordie Shore [best known for its outrageous drunken antics] and that’s what you do, you drink. But I’m not reliant on it to have fun.”
JUST BEING HERSELF
As a teenager, Chloe had ambitions to be a professional ice skater and dreamed of being a coach, but she left her skating dreams behind when she joined the Geordie Shore cast in 2014. But the star insists her mum is “proud of her” and was only “fuming” when she left the CBB house early.
Revealing more about her boozy antics in the house, Chloe admits: “I was nervous when I went in so I had a drink. Obviously there were times when, because they were a lot older, some of my housemates were probably thinking, ‘F**k me, what are you doing?’ But I just went in there and was my total self, to be honest.”
But being her “total self” has exposed Chloe to ridicule, with viewers blasting her outlandish behaviour. Last week, former glamour model Jodie Marsh took aim at Chloe and reality stars’ wild antics on TV, writing on Twitter: “Historically Geordie Shore normally does quite well in the house, where do you think it’s gone wrong? PEOPLE HAVE WOKEN UP.”
Jodie continued: “On a serious note, I think people have finally realised it’s NOT actually cool to have sex on TV (unless you’re a porn star). It’s also not cool to be so drunk that you wet yourself on TV, projectile vomit on TV or crawl around naked & dribbling on TV.”
But for anyone who does slam her, Chloe’s response is simply that they’re “boring.” Having followed in the footsteps of successful Geordie Shore alumni Vicky Pattison and Charlotte Crosby – who infamously wet the bed on CBB in 2013 – Chloe is thrilled she’s even more famous now.
DEALING WITH FAME
She says: “A lot more people recognise me now when I go out. I don’t regret being famous in the slightest. Now I’ve got money, I can treat my mum, I can go on holiday, I’m going to buy a house... Look at Charlotte and Vicky, you can start from nothing and then get massive – the way they made it through reality TV shouldn’t be criticised.”
