“Mark’s seeing red over Michelle’s ex”

Michelle Keegan’s ex, Brad Howard, is said to be starring on Love Island, but pals say it’s a blast from the past she and husband Mark Wright could do without

They’ve recently been putting on a united front – posing for Instagram snaps and insisting their marriage is stronger than ever – after a year of rocky relationship rumours.

But it seems Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright’s marriage has taken another hit after reports emerged last week that Michelle’s ex Brad Howard, 29, will be taking part in the new series of ITV2’S Love Island.

The actress, 29 – who’s been married to former TOWIE star Mark , 30, since 2015 – dated model Brad for two years, until 2010, and insiders say that could be a big reason why Brad was cast for the show.

A pal says: “Mark’s very protective of Michelle, so he’s seeing red. He says, if Brad blabs one thing out of line, he’ll have to meet him in person.

“The relationship was years ago and Michelle says she has nothing to hide. However, she has already said she won’t be watching Love Island if Brad is on it, as she thinks he could just be fame hungry.”

Meanwhile, after rumours of various feuds between Michelle and Mark’s family, friends say the Our Girl star is determined to build bridges and dissolve any lingering tensions. Mark’s mum Carol reportedly riled career-driven Michelle when she said she was “longing for a grandchild” last year.

Back in December, Closer reported how the couple clashed when Mark told Michelle he’d invited his family to join them in their plans to spend time in LA.

A friend says: “Michelle is on a mission to win back Mark’s family. She’s tired of all the tension – it’s hard work for her, especially as Mark is so close to his mum. She would just like some peace and quiet so she’s doing all she can to smooth things over.”
