“I need help to get over Jeremy”

Pals are urging Stephanie Davis to take action in a bid to end her toxic cycle with ex Jeremy Mcconnell

- By Lisa Higgins

It was almost a I case of deja vu last week when warring exes Stephanie Davis and Jeremy Mcconnell lashed out at each other once again on social media.

The bitter exchanges came three weeks after Irish model Jeremy was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assault on 16 March. He’d voluntarily attended a police station in Liverpool following an incident at Stephanie’s nearby home and was later released.

TWITTER TIRADE

Since then Steph – who had son Caben-albi in January – has seemed to be blowing hot and cold over her ex. Closer recently revealed how Steph is torn over her feelings for Jeremy and was keen to have an amicable friendship, if nothing else.

But the pair’s roller-coaster relationship took more twists and turns last week when Stephanie went on a Twitter rant, slamming Jeremy. She wrote: “[He] knows what he’s done wrong,” before revealing he had blocked her. Despite her outburst, she went on to add she’d “always be there” for her ex and always “love him.”

But just hours later, Steph suffered another change of heart, telling Jeremy to live his own “vile selfish life.” She then took a dramatic U-turn and, after rumours surfaced that Jeremy had been dropped from Ex On The Beach, she added: “I won’t have anyone say anything bad about him. He has his own Desmond’s [sic] to deal with. He decided not to do ex for me and Caben.”

Steph then added that she hoped he returned to “the person I fell in love with.”

After deleting her Tweets, Steph said she was “emotionally and mentally drained.” A few days later, Jeremy posted a photo of him and Steph with Caben, captioned with a heart emoji.

Now pals are urging the star – who revealed last year that she’d previously taken an overdose over a past relationship – to seek help.

STRUGGLING TO COPE

A source says: “Friends feel that even just talking through everything will help her get a clearer perspective on things. Stephanie knows that the current situation can’t continue and agrees she needs some help to get over her toxic relationship with Jeremy and break the spell.”

And pals say Steph is also keen for Jeremy – who recently lost his dad to cancer, and lost his mother, brother and sister within 15 months of each other when he was a teenager – to speak to someone about his issues.

After Steph’s Twitter tirade last week Jeremy sparked concern after posting a series of bizarre and rambling rants, writing in one cryptic Tweet, which he later deleted: “People saying hits on my head by Steph.”

He then shared a screen grab allegedly showing messages between an unknown person and Stephanie’s mum Pauline about guns, reading: “I wouldn’t even get involved. There guns etc. Scary [sic].”

A source says: “Steph still cares for Jeremy, but at the moment she swings between hating him and feeling sorry for him. Her priority is Caben and she wants to do what it takes to ensure he grows up in a happy environment.”
