sam: “I won’t have baby number two until Paul pops the question!”

Reality star Sam Faiers tells Kat Romero about her new life in LA and why she won’t think about adding to her family until she gets a ring on her finger

Her sister Billie welcomed H her second child, Arthur, just last month, but Sam Faiers – who gave birth to son Paul Tony in December 2015 with partner Paul Knightley – insists she won’t try for baby No.2 until she’s married.

Sam has been dating Paul since 2014 after meeting him in a restaurant in Essex. The reality star tells Closer: “Billie and her fiancé Greg seem to have narrowed their wedding date, but they’ve done that before – then it’s changed! Everyone always asks when me and Paul will get engaged, but I’ve stopped hinting.

“I want to be married before I have another baby though. But there’s no rush with number two. I wanted another straight away after having Paul, but now I realise that I’m still young and I have loads of time.”

However, despite being laid-back about a proposal, Sam tells Closer she can already picture what her big day will look like.

She says: “I’d love a wedding abroad in a hot climate. In terms of inviting former TOWIE co-stars, it’ll probably be just Billie. It’ll be an intimate affair of around 80 people, so just close friends and family.”

LA DREAMS

Sam seems to have taken to motherhood like a natural and when asked what advice she has for new mum Cheryl – who welcomed a son two weeks ago with boyfriend Liam Payne – she says to just soak up every moment.

She advises: “I didn’t leave the house for two weeks after giving birth. Cheryl needs to take lots of pictures too, as babies change every day!”

Sam, 26, spent 10 days in LA in February with Paul and 15-month-old baby Paul and says she got the chance to rub shoulders with the A-list during her time in Hollywood.

She explains: “I loved LA – 10 days wasn’t long enough. I found a new agent out there and she got me an invite to a pre-oscar party. It was a very A-list house party at this incredible mansion in the Hollywood Hills. I was so star struck as I got to shake hands with Mel Gibson. I even met Kim Kardashian – she’s so nice and really tiny!”

Last series on The Mummy Diaries, which documented her life with Paul and baby Paul, Sam was seen disagreeing with Billie and her mum Suzanne over her desire to move from Essex to Surrey. But despite the family friction over her being further away, Sam says she and partner Paul dream of spending three-months at a time in LA. Last month, she officially moved from Essex to Hertfordshire, too.

A BIG MOVE

Sam says: “I’d love to try to carve out a career in LA. I could try my hand at presenting, but not acting. I’d be useless. I have an LA agent, so anything is possible. I’d never move there full-time, but me and Paul have discussed going out there for three-month stints. Relocating to Hertfordshire has been a big move and it does feel different being outside of Essex. I’m still trying to get familiar with everything.”

Sam’s relationship with partner Paul came under fire after The Baby Diaries aired in 2015, with fans accusing him of being “controlling” and a “man child.”

behind Closed doors

He also raised eyebrows when he shared a kiss on the lips with his mum Gaynor. But with the first series of The Mummy Diaries airing late last year and a second airing next week, Sam hopes fans will start to see the real Paul.

She says: “Paul had never been on camera before so as you would naturally do, he sort of froze up a bit and wasn’t his normal self. He wasn’t keen to be in the show in the first place, but I think he’s loosened up now. I was never affected by what people said about Paul as I knew our relationship and what we were like behind closed doors.

“We’ve had a great time filming together and I can’t wait to give people a peek into our lives.”

Sam Faiers: The Mummy Diaries starts Wed 12 April at 9pm on ITVBE
