Tanorexic model: “I’ve spent £50k to become a super-tanned Barbie”
She already boasts a 32S chest and mahogany tan, but Martina Big wants more treatments to complete her outrageous look
With her peroxide hair, eyewatering W 32Scup cleavage and tiny size 6 frame, Martina Big has gone to extreme lengths to create her ultimate Barbie look.
But she hasn’t stopped there. The model is so obsessed with getting the deepest tan possible, she’s also started having tanning injections – as well as regular sunbed sessions – to stand out from the crowd.

Now Martina – whose surgeon uses a pump to inflate her breasts with saline – plans to have further surgery including a bum lift, and says her boyfriend Michael, 29, who works as her manager, loves her cartoon-like look.
The 28-year-old, from Luxembourg, says: “People might think my image is extreme, but I love it. I used to be pale, but I’ve always been obsessed with having a tan. I think it’s flattering and I love the Katie Price look.
“I love my boobs, too – my surgeon pumps saline into them and they can go up to any size I want. I’m currently at a 32S but I’d like to be bigger.”
Martina – who says she was obsessed with playing with Barbie dolls from a young age – reveals: “I used to have short hair and a pale complexion. I was a bit of a girl next door and was very shy at school. I only had two female friends and I’d never had a boyfriend.
“I met Michael at school when I was 17. He told me I was beautiful and should start modelling. I loved the hour-glass Barbie look and admired models like Pamela Anderson in her Baywatch heyday.”
When she turned 23, Martina went under the knife and had a nose job and breast implants, using savings to fund the operations.
She recalls: “I thought my nose was wide, so I wanted it narrower. I already had natural 32D breasts but I wanted a more voluptuous look, so I got implants to take me up to a 32K. I loved the idea of having huge boobs and a tiny waist.
INFLATABLE BOOBS
“I can inflate them by inserting a tube into the implants and injecting saline, which means I can choose to make my boobs bigger at any time and I don’t have to have further operations.
“I’ve never had any problems with them, but they are now so big that I have to sleep on my back, or support myself with pillows, and it takes me a bit longer to bend down if I drop something. I have my bras custom-made and my top size is 28, while I’m a size 6 below, so I have to get clothes altered, too. But I love showing off my boobs in clingy dresses and tight tops.”
Martina has also had lip fillers, extensions and veneers to complete her Barbie look. Her modelling career took off in America in 2015 and she has taken part in bikini and lingerie shoots, which are displayed in galleries.
She says: “My fame grows at the same rate as my boobs, so I now earn quite a lot of money through my modelling.
“I also have a lot of fans and am very active on the internet. But I would never do porn or naked shoots.”
INSTANT RESULTS
Despite her success, the one thing Martina always struggled with was her pale skin.
She explains: “I used to walk on the beach and sunbathe for hours trying to soak up the rays, but I’d stay completely pale. Even when I went on sunbeds I’d only turn a light brown.”
Martina’s surgeon suggested tanning injections, and, in January this year, she decided to try them.
She says: “I wasn’t worried because my surgeon said that the injections were safe. He sold them to me for £170 a time, so it seemed like a bargain.
“As soon as I’d had the first injection I noticed the results straight away – my skin turned so much darker. Michael liked my look too and decided to try the injections, though he doesn’t want to go as tanned as me.”
So far, Martina has had a set of three injections, which she will have again once the effects have worn off.
Understandably, she gets a lot of strange looks and some of her friends don’t recognise her, but that hasn’t put her off.
She adds: “People often
stare at me because I look so different, but it doesn’t bother me. I’m happy with how I look.
“Some of my friends don’t even recognise me because I’m so dark-skinned, but they’d never tell me to stop, they understand I want to look this way.”
Now Martina plans to keep having tanning injections, as well as using sunbeds twice a week – and wants further surgery too.
She adds: “I’m planning bum implants to create the perfect hourglass figure. Michael thinks I look gorgeous and we’d love to get married and have kids in the future – I’ve even checked that I would still be able to breastfeed.
“I’ve always wanted to be different from everyone else and have an extreme look – and that’s what I’ve achieved.”
