Meghan warns Harry off ‘lads’ holiday’
Insiders reveal Meghan Markle has given Prince Harry a list of must-haves as she steps into royal life
As reports surfaced A last week that they’re moving into an apartment at Kensington Palace together, insiders say Meghan Markle is preparing to uproot herself from Canada, where she’s based to film her TV show Suits.
And according to pals, Meghan has given Prince Harry a relationship check-list to prepare for royal life.
Insiders reveal Harry had been planning on attending a lads’ ski trip in Switzerland but Meghan, 35, has advised him not to go after his brother Prince William was mocked for his drunken dancing in a Verbier nightclub last month.
An insider says: “Meghan discussed with Harry whether it was the right time for him to be going on holiday with his mates. She wants to protect him after what happened with William. They’ve been dating for a year and she doesn’t want any bumps in their relationship. Harry’s agreed to put Meghan first and has cancelled the trip.”
Harry, 32, earned his rep as the “bad-boy prince” after a string of gaffes over the years, including downing booze while wearing a bra, stripping naked in Las Vegas and donning a swastika armband during a pal’s costume party.
Now insiders say Meghan is fine-tuning their relationship before she steps into royal life.
A source says: “Meghan’s discussed a number of things with Harry. She wants him to involve her when he’s planning trips, she doesn’t want him to talk about their romance in public, and she wants him to show her the royal ropes.
“They’ve got a date in the diary for all their families to meet, so things are moving forward.”
