❛everything’s had to be much more child-friendly since i became a mum❜

My favourite room... Is definitely my living room. As a family, we spend so much time in there. We eat in there, watch TV, have friends round and Sophia – or Fifi – who’s three, spends a lot of time playing there, too, as it backs on to the garden. It’s a very social space. We have a bar in the corner, which was used a lot in the past when we had parties and friends round, but it doesn’t get used much nowadays! Decorating has been a gradual thing… I had help from a designer with the original work and I’ve added to it over time. I prefer warm neutrals over white spaces. Everything’s had to be much more child-friendly since I became a mum – I loved our original glass table in the living room but it had sharp edges so we added a soft, velvety edge all around it. We have had a lot of our furniture custom Made… The sofa is one of my favourite pieces and it’s so comfy. Fifi and I will snuggle up under the fluffy throw. I had some cushions made up to match, too – I mix them with a few Fendi pillows (from £400 each) in similar colours.

i’m an impulse Shopper When it comes to interiors… I enjoy buying things for the home as much as I do adding to my wardrobe! I love purchasing art and if I see something I like, I’ll usually buy it. I get most things for the home online or while I’m in LA – I like brands like Pottery Barn (Potterybarn.com) and Williams Sonoma (Williams-sonoma.com). i love placing flowers everywhere... Although I’m not green-fingered! My vases are filled with faux plants – but they do just the job and most people can’t

tell they aren’t real! i like Warm, Soft lighting… I bought most of my lamps from stores in the US and enjoy mixing and matching them. I don’t like having candles, though – they scare me a little as they are a fire risk! We had the chandelier in the hallway made – it’s such a statement and it sits perfectly over the stairs. My DAD [f1 Supremo bernie ecclestone] is great at buying Me things… He likes going to Lots Road Auctions in London’s Chelsea and often he buys me gifts and vintage pieces for the house from there.
