Liam’s proposal to Cheryl: “Let’s build our life together in the UK”

After Liam Payne proved his commitment by putting his LA home up for rent, pals say Cheryl is thrilled

Ever since the arrival of her baby boy last month, Cheryl has been “living in a love bubble” – despite her toyboy boyfriend Liam Payne being forced to split his time between the States and the UK as he finishes his debut solo album.

Last week, Liam, 23, was snapped looking gaunt and tired in LA. But there was an end in sight amid reports he had put up his lavish £8million Californian mansion for rent.

Pals say Cheryl, 33, is thrilled Liam proposed the idea of making the UK their permanent base and that they won’t move to the US – after her fears she’d have to uproot.

CHANGE OF PLANS

A source says: “Liam made no secret of wanting to live in LA while he launched his solo career – something Cheryl was worried about as she didn’t want to be apart from him for weeks at a time. Cheryl loves LA, but she wants to be in the UK near her friends and family. Her worst fear was being apart from Liam.

“Liam thought things through carefully and his priority has always been Cheryl and their son. He proposed the idea to her that he put his LA home up for rent and that they stay in the UK and build their lives together here. Cheryl is over the moon.”

Last week, it was reported that Liam had broken his silence on his son, allegedly telling a fan: “He’s great, he’s good. I love him and I miss him a lot.” miles from the Surrey home he shares with the former Girls Aloud star.

A source says: “Liam’s been trying to finish his album in the UK, but he had to fly to LA for a few days to meet with his producers. Cheryl was understandably upset that Liam had to leave when they have a newborn, but she wants to support him.

“He’s decided to put the finishing touches to the album close to home so he can be nearer to Cheryl and their son.

“Cheryl is feeling less anxious now that Liam is back in the UK. She wants them to focus on building their future together and thinks marriage and even another baby could be on the cards.”
