‘I made a major mistake with Pete’
The TOWIE star tells Closer why she regrets THAT fight with Pete Wicks and what she really thinks about her co-star Chloe Sims
Megan Mckenna’s explosive on-off 10-month relationship with Pete Wicks came to a spectacular head last month, when they had an emotional fight in the street. They reportedly had to be restrained by TOWIE crew members after Megan blasted Pete over photos of him looking cosy and intimate with close pal and fellow cast member Chloe Sims.
Last week it was claimed Megan, 24, and the tattooed hunk have rekindled their romance, though in our exclusive chat, Megan remains tight-lipped about what the future holds for “Pegan,” but admits she’s overstepped the mark.
CLASHING WITH CHLOE
“I made a major mistake when I had a row with Pete in the street. I said a few things I really didn’t mean. Pete and I are civil now. We’re always going to have to see each other because of TOWIE. Right now, he’s busy and I’m busy. The best thing is for us to be civil, instead of always rowing,” says Megan.
But while Megan may be amicable with Pete, viewers have seen her fall out with Chloe over her friendship with him. Chloe has called Megan an “attention seeker” and blasted her for breaking up with Pete “out of the blue.”
But Megan says she can’t understand Chloe’s anger towards her or why she seems to want to stir up tension between them. Megan says: “I don’t know why Chloe Sims just doesn’t leave me to my life. I leave her to her life, but she can’t seem to leave me alone. She obviously has another issue and I just don’t know what it is.”
Megan initially broke up with Pete last September when it was revealed he’d been sexting a number of girls, including glamour model Jacqui Ryland. They reconciled two months later before splitting again in March. Megan was seen confiding in her TOWIE co-star Lauren Goodger at the time, and the pair have clearly forged a close bond.
FRIENDLY ADVICE
Lauren, who is dating prisoner Joey Morrison, proved to be the ideal agony aunt. Megan says: “Lauren’s such a nice girl and she really does deserve to find happiness in love. She’s always been one of those people that if I ever get stick on the show, she instantly texts me. It’s nice to have someone who I can relate to. Lauren always says to me: ‘It’s hard, but you’re going to get through it.’
“Living your life on a TV show is difficult at times. Only my co-stars understand the pressures and some of them, like Lauren, are really sympathetic when I’m struggling with something or someone.”
Megan’s well-known for her fiery temper. She had an infamous rant on CBB at fellow housemates Tiffany Pollard and John Partridge, received a formal warning, and was then the fourth person to be evicted from the house. She said at the time: “The reason I went so mad that night is because no one would let me talk. I’m sorry for hitting the camera.”
But that didn’t stop her having a meltdown at her local Mcdonald’s Drive-thru last year, branding the workers “stupid.”
And, after Megan made charity shoe boxes full of presents for less fortunate children, she was criticised of doing it just for publicity. She then spoke out on Snapchat to set the record straight.
She also recently shocked TOWIE viewers when she dropped the c-bomb in a rant at co-star Liam Gatsby in March. She said: “I can lose it... but I feel like I lose it for the right reasons.”
CHANGING APPEARANCE
Megan’s looks have noticeably changed since she’s been in the public eye. She admitted to having lip fillers last year and she’s rumoured to have had a nose job as well as Botox. And while Megan says she doesn’t want to look

“fake,” she admits she’s not against plastic surgery. She says: “I don’t want anything done right now, but if you’re unhappy with your body, why not change that? “If someone is really unhappy with the way they look, surgery may make them a lot happier. I don’t think there should be a problem with it. But I don’t like the fake look – you should always try to keep a more natural appearance.”
