LIZZIE AND NIGEL SPARK ROMANCE RUMOURS
They were pictured cosying up to each other at her birthday party last week – and now insiders say that Nigel Farage would love to whisk Lizzie Cundy off for a date in the US.
The former UKIP leader, 53, met former WAG Lizzie – who was previously married to former footballer Jason Cundy – at the premiere of Brexit: The Movie last year and the two bonded over their similar “sense of humour.”
And last week Nigel told Closer at the party at Chi Kitchen: “Who doesn’t love Lizzie? She’s such a fun character and we’ve always got along so well.”
TRIP TO AMERICA
The politician – who announced his separation from wife-of-18years Kirsten in February – has hit headlines for his female liaisons recently, being linked to both French politician Laure Ferrari and porn star Valerie Fox earlier this year.
Now sources say Nigel, who is close friends with American President Donald Trump and his wife Melania, would love to take Lizzie off for a trip abroad.
A source says: “Nigel is single and ready to mingle and he really likes Lizzie. He’s planning a trip to the US soon to catch up with Donald and he told her he would love to take her along for fun. They’ve been getting close over recent weeks and their friends think they’re really well suited. Everyone’s waiting to see what happens.”
SETTLING DOWN
Nigel rose to fame as leader of the UKIP party during the 2015 general election and sparked debate over his antiimmigration opinions and casual campaigning style.
And he’s recently caused even more controversy thanks to his blossoming friendship with Donald Trump, after he was pictured out for dinner with the US president in February.
Insiders say that single Lizzie is undecided about Nigel’s suggestion – but that the radio presenter can definitely see herself becoming friends with Trump’s wife Melania.
A source says: “Lizzie hasn’t said yes to the trip yet, but she’s definitely interested in becoming more political. She fancies herself as a UK Melania and thinks that she’d get on really well with the First Lady.
“Lizzie hasn’t been in a serious relationship since she divorced Jason in 2012, and her friends think she’d like to settle down again. She’s told them to watch this space.”
