Pals fear for “isolated” Steph
As Stephanie Davis retreats into a bubble with Jeremy Mcconnell, friends and family worry she’s pushing them away
he never-ending T saga of on/off couple Stephanie Davis and Jeremy Mcconnell took its latest turn last week when they appeared the most loved-up they have in weeks, as they both posted pictures together on social media.
But as Steph, 24 – who has four-month-old son Caben-albi with Jeremy, 27 – continues on in the turbulent relationship, sources say her closest pals and family members are concerned she’s pushing them away.
A source says: “Everyone is really worried about Steph; she goes into a bubble when she’s with Jeremy. She completely isolates herself and spends all of her time with him. She knows her family don’t approve of him, so she’s been cutting herself off from them. She doesn’t want to hear any criticism about him or their relationship. She sees a select few friends but, when she’s loved-up with Jeremy, she hardly sees anyone.”
LOW POINT
Steph’s mum, Pauline, has been a constant source of support for her daughter throughout her stormy relationship with Jeremy – which hit its lowest point earlier this month when he appeared in court over charges he assaulted her on 9 March. Steph was later hospitalised with stress, as they split then reunited yet again.
Pauline, 50, has already seen her daughter face pregnancy alone after Jeremy denied being the father of Caben-albi before a DNA test later proved otherwise. Last week, Pauline retweeted an image that highlighted the signs of an abusive relationship. And pals say Steph is concerned how it will be interpreted and how it could stir things up with Jeremy.
BAD INFLUENCE
A source says: “Pauline thinks Jeremy’s a bad influence. When he’s in Steph’s life there’s always drama and her family are worried about it – they also hate her pushing them away.
“But Steph doesn’t think they should get involved. She’s asked her mum not to post anything again in case it upsets Jeremy. Steph is really close to her mum, but it has caused some problems between them. The last thing Pauline wants is to rock the boat, but she doesn’t feel like she can support their destructive relationship.”
