Pals warn Anna:
“Don’t lose your head over toyboy Charlie”
Anna Friel hit the A headlines last week at the prestigious TV BAFTAS thanks to her very friendly behaviour with actor Charlie Heaton, who is 17 years her junior. And pals say it wasn’t a one-off, as Anna, 40, is enjoying being reunited with the Stranger Things star.
A source says: “Anna really enjoys Charlie’s company and there has been some flirting. He’s certainly her type – handsome and funny – and he’s been giving her a lot of attention.”
Anna, who has a daughter, Gracie, 11, with ex-boyfriend actor David Thewlis, has previously dated a string of high-profile ladies’ men, including Darren Day, Robbie Williams, Joaquin Phoenix and Rhys Ifans.
Speaking about her love life, Anna – who rose to fame in Brookside aged 16 before finding success in hit US TV series Pushing Daisies – previously said: “I’m waiting for some gorgeous chappie to carry me off to his castle… Trouble is, with my luck with men, it would probably turn out to be a hovel with a leaking roof and on a donkey.”
Anna and Charlie, 23, first met when she played his mother in the 2015 film Urban And The Shed Crew, but pals have warned her not to get too carried away and fall head over heels for a toyboy.
A source says: “Anna’s had her heart broken several times in the past. She’s saying she’s having lots of fun with Charlie, but she’s been warned by close friends not to lose her head over him.”
