Well, isn’t this all rather awkward? W We all know that Aidan and Maria have agreed upon this cosy little arrangement where they enjoy a bit of “how’s your father” with no strings attached. Eva – ie Aidan’s extremely stunning actual girlfriend – is, for some reason, besotted with the Street’s resident ladies’ man, and is also a bit fed up with waiting around to be made the next Mrs Connor. Great idea – ask him yourself, love! Cue a major proposal plan (on a Monday night, errr…) with the help of Leanne, Jenny, Michelle and Kate in (where else?) The Rovers. While a nervous Eva waits for Aidan, where is the man in question? In the loos, enjoying a quickie with Maria (the romance!). Let’s all wait and see how this little scene pans out, eh? Though we can reveal a fuming Maria isn’t likely to stand by and watch this pair trot down the aisle happily ever after, and she does have a dirty trick up her sleeve. Elsewhere, poor David has a heart to heart with Gail – confessing that Shona was the first person to make him happy since Kylie. Then he discovers something shocking. Sad scenes are also in order for Johnny, who gets a diagnosis from the docs and tells Kate what’s wrong with him. We’re back to the lovebirds Maria and Aidan later in the week when (despite proposal-related annoyances) Maria can hold out no longer and she’s pouncing on him in the ginnel. But peeping Adam is loitering nearby and takes a picture on his phone...
