Jeremy’s ex:
“He’s just a nice lad who makes mistakes!”
Since they met on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016 they’ve endured cheating allegations, domestic abuse claims, rehab stints and even had a baby together.
But despite their volatile relationship, Stephanie Davis and Jeremy Mcconnell are giving their relationship another go for the sake of their five-month-old son Caben-albi.
However, last week saw yet another chaotic chapter. Steph sparked concern when she cryptically Tweeted a snap of herself with Caben captioned “so long guys.” Fans messaged her to ask if she was OK, others speculated she was going to America as she has plans to launch an acting career there.
But fans’ panic was shortlived, as she was back online a few days later. It was also reported last week that she’d fallen out with her family over plans to give Caben Jeremy’s surname.
Now Jeremy’s ex Savannah Kemplay tells Closer she’s convinced Steph and Jeremy’s relationship is destined for disaster. Savannah, 23, says that while the pair appear loved-up, she won’t make him happy. She says: “Jeremy’s trapped in a toxic relationship because of a child. I don’t know if his feelings for Steph are genuine – or whether he’s keeping her sweet so he can be in Caben’s life.”
SABOTAGE
Savannah met Jeremy, 27, on MTV show Beauty School Cop Outs in 2013 and they dated on and off for two years. Although they split in 2015, she says Jeremy is “a lovely guy” – and that his past has affected his relationships.
She says: “When we were together, he was so sweet. He’s caring, he wants everyone to be his friend, he’s not aggressive or confrontational – he’s just a nice lad who makes mistakes.
“Jeremy’s lost the people closest to him – his parents and family members have died. When he gets close to people he self-sabotages because he’s experienced loss in the past and he tries to push them away – but he’s lovely deep down.”
Jeremy and Steph, 24, got together on CBB while Steph had a boyfriend. After a fivemonth rocky romance, the pair called it quits in May 2016 amid allegations he’d cheated – just days before Steph announced she was pregnant. But the Irish model denied the baby was his – and refused to support Steph until he had a paternity test on TV, which proved he was the dad.
NO ANGEL
Trouble struck again when Jeremy was arrested for assaulting Steph in March this year. He then completed a stint in rehab to tackle his demons.
However, Savannah insists Jeremy isn’t to blame for all the drama. She says: “Steph got pregnant after knowing a guy for three months. She makes everyone feel sorry for her, but it’s Jeremy I feel sorry for.
Though Savannah admits that Jeremy is no angel. She adds: “He once Snapchatted a video of a girl sucking his d**k when we were on a break. I was gutted but he only did it to provoke a reaction. I was angry, but the next day we both laughed it off because he is a nutter when he’s drunk.”
She adds: “He’s done some silly things, but since having Caben he’s grown up. He’s so in love with his kid and will do anything for him.”
