she remains defiant as fans blast her singing voice

-

Jordan looked nervous as she performed her new single live on Loose Women last week – and was slammed by viewers, who accused her of “screeching” and branded her a “flop.” But sources close to Jordan say that despite getting a mauling online, she’s adamant her much-hyped return to music is still on track.

A source says: “Katie is the queen of putting on a confident front, but people’s negative comments have been a real blow. She knows she doesn’t have the best voice, so chose to make her debut on the panel show as that’s her comfort zone. She thought she’d have a supportive audience, so she’s gutted at the reaction.”

Following the rendition of her new dance track I Got U, one viewer Tweeted: “She looks a state & sounds like a screeching banshee. What a flop!” While another joked: “Thanks #Katieprice you just brought my budgie back to life #Greatlyrics #Sorrynotsorry.”

It’s not Jordan’s first foray into music. She narrowly missed out on representing the UK in the Eurovision in 2005, then released an album of romantic ballads with then-husband Peter Andre the following year, which reached number 20 in the charts. She released Free To Love Again in 2010, but despite the single flopping, she said she refused to give up on her dreams of being a pop star.

Speaking before her performance last week, Jordan admitted: “I can sing this, that’s why I’m doing it live!”

A source says: “Katie refuses to let trolls destroy her plans to make it big in the charts. She’s still adamant this is going to be the song of the summer.”
