he’s been busy S working out in the gym recently, but last week Lauren Goodger was slammed for her appearance as she donned a racy playsuit on a boozy night out in London.

The former TOWIE star, who’s been dating jailbird Joey Morrison for over a year, was faced with a barrage of abuse.

One online hater wrote: “One piece of advice: dress for the body you have, not the body you would like to have…”, labelling her “Mr Blobby’s wife.” Another wrote: “Her precious Joey is going to drop her like a hot potato once he gets out of prison and sees that she doesn’t look a thing like her Insta photos.”

Now pals say size 12 Lauren, who dropped from a size 16 to an 8 and lost 4st when she made her fitness DVD in 2015, has been left devastated by such a brutal backlash, but is defiantly saying her bullies won’t bring her down.

A source says: “Lauren is feeling really emotional about how vicious people have been about her. She’s a strong girl and she’s fed up with being constantly bullied. She feels that she can’t put a foot right, no matter how hard she tries. She’s adamant that she looks great and that the photos taken were incredibly unflattering on purpose. She feels really tearful though because she doesn’t think she looks like that.

“She’s disgusted people are saying Joey will break up with her over her weight. She says Joey knows that she’s been working out with a personal trainer over the past few weeks and is making every effort to get into shape. He’s been telling her she looks gorgeous and needs to block the haters out. It’s left her feeling really upset even though she knows he still worships her body. She was just trying to have a fun night out with friends.”

Lauren instantly hit back on Twitter, insisting the photos of her had been altered.

She Tweeted: “You pick the photos and you don’t pick nice ones. If you picked the normal ones there prob wouldn’t be this debate. I wasn’t drunk either. Also my body looks distorted; one hand and foot in some are bigger than the other.”

Then she added, speaking about an odd-looking photo: “Where’s the man’s head? This photo has been photoshopped and that is not my arse! Wow my outfit nothing like this!”

Lauren has publicly battled with her weight since first appearing on TOWIE in 2010 – as a “sexy, curvy” size 10.

At her heaviest in 2015, at 13st, she vowed to lose weight and dropped to 9st for her exercise DVD. She’s since gone back up to a size 12 after admitting it was tough to maintain intense workouts.

WEIGHT TROUBLES

Lauren’s turbulent relationship with her body was also a source of drama throughout her time on The Only Way Is Essex.

Her ex-boyfriend Mark Wright, who she dated on and off for 10 years, was famed for mocking her weight on the show.

Not only did he reportedly tell her she’d be more successful if she lost weight, but on series two, Mark openly slammed Lauren’s appearance while she was getting a spray tan, saying: “Why is she doing that, she looks

A source says: “Lauren’s convinced the pictures are not a fair representation of her. She’s told friends that she’s conquered her weight battle and that she doesn’t have a problem any more.

“It brings back really bad memories because she’s been made to feel insecure about her weight in the past and those days are long gone. She

says Joey really encourages her to love her body and he’s really boosted her confidence. Although she’s clearly upset, she’s vowing to ignore the haters and keep up the good work in the gym. She wants to lose half a stone by the end of the summer and has told friends she’s happily on track.”
