“I survived a plane crash”

Following weeks of speculation, Beyoncé was reported to have given birth to twins last week after her dad Matthew Knowles let slip the celebrity siblings – a boy and a girl – had arrived.

Now sources say Beyoncé, 35 – who also has daughter Blue Ivy, five, with rapper husband Jay Z, 47 – is smitten with the new arrivals, who were believed to have been born prematurely and treated for minor health issues in hospital.

The insider says: “Beyoncé and Jay Z are completely in love. Obviously it’s scary having your newborn babies in hospital but they have access to the best medical care. They couldn’t be happier and their family feels complete. They’ve had their ups and downs as a couple over the years but they’re in a great place with each other, and they can’t wait for this next chapter.”

Just days after the rumoured arrival of the twins, Jay Z announced his new album 4:44 would be released later this month and, on top of headlining V Festival this summer, he’ll tour the US in September.

Pals say that while Jay is away working, Beyoncé will have her mother and an army of helpers offering their support.

A source reveals: “She has a lot of help and there’ll be two nannies on hand at home, as well as her mother Tina. Beyoncé has always been very disciplined in everything she does and motherhood is no different.

“She’s not putting herself under any pressure to get back in shape, but when the time is right she’ll enlist an in-house personal trainer to get her back on track.”

In the past, the former Destiny’s Child star has followed intense diet plans to maintain her size 8-10 figure – and came under fire in 2006 when she revealed she lost 20lbs in two weeks for her role in hit movie Dreamgirls by allegedly drinking six to 12 glasses of water a day, mixed with cayenne pepper, maple syrup and lemon juice.

After the birth of Blue Ivy, Beyoncé wowed fans by snapping back into shape and, last year, she showed off her fantastic figure in the music videos for her album Lemonade.

This time around, friends say Beyoncé won’t be following any extreme regimes but will focus on a healthy and wholesome diet, and lots of exercise.

The source says: “When she starts her body plan, Beyoncé will go on a vegan diet for the first two weeks and eat healthy salads, grilled vegetables and lots of protein – before adding meat back into her diet later on.

“She’s also planning gentle workouts with her personal trainer Marco Borges. But for now her focus will be on her expanded family.”
