Kim’s dangerous obsession

Charlotte Crosby opens up about her body struggles and stalking Vicky Pattison online

- Charlotte’s book Brand New Me is out now

She’s as famous for her boozy behaviour as she is for her incredible body transformation, which saw her shed four dress sizes down to a slender size 8 over two years ago.

But reality star Charlotte Crosby has opened up about the damage fame has done to her confidence, revealing a private battle with body dysmorphia and anxiety, which left her feeling “fat and s**t” and wanting to cry every time she looked in the mirror.

Charlotte, 27 – writing in her new autobiography Brand New Me – says she was sent to see a counsellor in October last year where she was given the diagnosis, saying: “I keep breaking down. I just feel like I’m not good enough. I’m getting anxiety. I feel so down and awful in myself.” She adds: “I have got to the point where I hate looking at myself and think I’m fat.”

The former reality star looks almost unrecognisable from the fresh-faced 21-year-old who first rose to fame on Geordie Shore in 2011.

As well as overhauling her boozy lifestyle and dropping 2½st in 2015, Charlotte has constantly shocked fans by splashing out on Botox and lip fillers, as well as undergoing a nose job last year. Talking about her previous appearance, she calls herself “rank,” comparing herself to Little Britain character Vicky Pollard.

Charlotte says: “When I look back at old pictures of myself now I can’t stand it. I think I look so ugly. My old face was so fat it looked like it was swallowing my facial features.”

FEELING VULNERABLE

Charlotte revealed last week that she was moving in with boyfriend Stephen Bear, whom she’s been with since November after they grew close working on TV show Just Tattoo Of Us. She also Tweeted that she was “feeling broody,” while Stephen said earlier this year: “Next December, I want to impregnate her.”

After a string of high-profile romances, including a traumatic on/off five-year relationship with Geordie Shore castmate Gary “Gaz” Beadle, 29, which finally ended when she suffered a devastating ectopic pregnancy in April last year, Charlotte says she was “obsessed” with Stephen, 27, within days of getting together – but acknowledges his former playboy antics “petrify” her.

She says: “He scares me because I know he has another side to him. I’ve never been scared by a boy like I am with him, but he keeps saying he’d never hurt me.”

JEALOUSY

Despite her success, which has seen her win CBB and build a lucrative fitness empire, Charlotte admits she keeps tabs on her ex-geordie Shore co-star – and Stephen’s former fling – Vicky Pattison, 29.

The pair reportedly fell out after Vicky left the show in 2013, with reports that Charlotte was “jealous” of Vicky’s success after she secured a number of TV gigs.

But acid-tongued Charlotte admits she regularly “stalks” Vicky online, saying: “I want to see what she’s up to and what she’s been doing. Her Instagram can get a bit boring though!”
