Sam on her post-baby body: “I feel out of shape – but I wouldn’t change anything”
Reality star Sam Faiers says she’s back on a fitness drive to regain her toned body after giving birth to son Paul in 2015 – and reveals she wants four more babies
She’s been a body icon since first finding fame in TOWIE in 2010, but after quitting the show in 2014, Sam Faiers underwent an intensive shape-up and launched her own fitness website, making a lucrative career out of her slender figure. But the star reveals that workouts have taken a backseat recently, and she’s relaxed about the fact that she’s gained a dress size.
The 5ft 6 reality star stunned fans when she bounced back to a size 8 just two months after giving birth to baby Paul, now one, in 2015, attributing it to gruelling hour-long personal training sessions and a strict organic diet. But after initially losing the 2st she gained during pregnancy, Sam admits she’s gone back up to a size 10 in recent months. Despite still looking amazing, she insists she’s “let herself go,” but refuses to beat herself up about it.
MUMMY MODE
Sam says: “I’ve always loved exercise, and as soon as I had Paul I started working out and toning up. But then I just went into serious mummy mode! I took a year off – I focused solely on him and I’ve been enjoying lots of treats like tea and biscuits. I’ve let myself go, but that’s fine. I feel out of shape and wobbly when I look in the mirror, but I wouldn’t change anything and I’ve loved relaxing with baby Paul.”
Last month, Sam, 26, – who has been with boyfriend Paul Knightley, 28, since 2014 after meeting in an Essex restaurant – was cruelly mocked over snaps of her in a bikini while holidaying in Italy, with online trolls taking aim at her cellulite and outrageously branding her curves “disgusting.”
FEELING MOTIVATED
Sam says: “I was on holiday, ate loads of lovely food and never wore make-up. But the photos were awful and I don’t look like that! Paul laughs and asked me why I cared, but it’s frustrating and I got really upset.
“I knew I was out of shape but those photos have given me back my motivation. I’ve started with a personal trainer again and I’m eating better too.”

Arthur – a sibling to her daughter Nelly, two, with fiancé Greg Shepherd.
She’s previously said she’d want to be married before having another baby, and Sam – who has her own reality TV series The Mummy Diaries – is hoping for a big family.
Sam says: “I’d love to have more babies! Paul and I want five or six kids in the end. I want one soon as I think two years is a nice age gap. Being a mum at the same time as Billie just makes it extra special.”
CRACKING AMERICA
Sam’s also made no secret of her dream of moving her family to LA, and after a threemonth stint in California earlier this year, she’s already planned her return visit. Sam says: “We’re going back in September, and for longer this time. I’m really excited. I feel like we don’t need to be settled until Paul starts school, so we’ll travel back and forth between LA and the UK for a while.” She’ll be following in the footsteps of a number of TOWIE stars who have set their sights on cracking America, most notably former flame Mark Wright and his sister Jess. But Sam says she hasn’t been in touch with them, and is quick to shut down talk of a TOWIE baby special with new mum Amy Childs and mum-to-be Ferne Mccann. Sam says: “When I left TOWIE I was off TV for a few years, but now I’m back and at a completely different stage in my life. I don’t want to look back. I have a lovely family, my work is going well and I’m going on new adventures. We’ll see what the future holds.”
