Steph “ignores” desperate pleas to cut out Jeremy for good

As her toxic romance with Jeremy Mcconnell hits a shocking new low, pals say Stephanie Davis still refuses to admit it’s beyond saving

heir rollercoaster T romance took a sickening twist last week when Stephanie Davis was arrested for GBH following a terrifying row that left her covered in cuts and bruises and Jeremy Mcconnell with two black eyes, a broken nose, a fractured eye socket and concussion.

Just days later, Jeremy, 27 – who had previously denied being the father of their sixmonth-old son Caben before taking a paternity test – claimed Stephanie, 24, was pregnant.

SHOCK CLAIMS

The Irish model said in an interview last week: “She just told me that she was pregnant. She told me that she was going to have a scan at the hospital later that afternoon. The pregnancy was not planned and given our history together took me by surprise. I was pleased, but still in a bit of a shock.”

Despite Stephanie’s injuries, which reportedly included broken ribs, Jeremy insisted he had not touched her. He claimed Stephanie had become jealous over a woman he was following on social media and stormed off to a pub.

Jeremy claims the vicious row erupted after Stephanie began smoking and drinking. He said: “I told her a pregnant woman should not drink and smoke. She told me it was her life and she could do as she wanted.”

However, reports claim the fracas started when Jeremy threw her phone – containing photos of baby Caben – to the floor. After being taken to a north London police station, Stephanie was questioned and rushed to hospital. She was later released on bail until July and was pictured leaving the station cradling her stomach.

Meanwhile, in the wake of the drama, sources say Stephanie’s family are more concerned than ever.

A source says: “Her family and friends are really worried. They’ve tried to reason with her, but she won’t listen – she’s ignoring their pleas to cut him out. She can’t be without Jeremy, even though the relationship is destructive to both of them and, most importantly, Caben.”

Both Stephanie and Jeremy have battled issues with alcohol in the past. Stephanie was fired from Hollyoaks in 2015 over her reported drunken behaviour and later admitted: “I’ve been struggling for a while and booze was an escape to me.”

After Jeremy entered rehab in April for his issues with alcohol and drugs, he sparked relapse fears last month when he was reportedly kicked out of a party for boozing and was spotted asleep on a park bench.

FACING DEMONS

Jeremy recently told Closer that he and Stephanie “really want to be together and build a family unit for Caben.” But sources say the pair just can’t shake their demons. A pal reveals: “Drinking brings out the worst in them and they always row. They’ve both vowed to quit booze, but they’ve found it hard.” Closer’s psychotherapist Emma Kenny, who has led therapy sessions with both Stephanie and Jeremy for Closer in the past – says she worries for the couple and has fears for Caben, adding: “They want to have this happy ending but they are both escalators in rows. I fear the volatility of their relationship could have a big impact on Caben, and he may think that’s the norm. It’s better to separate for everyone’s sake.”

Since Stephanie and Jeremy first met on CBB last year, they have been dogged by drama. After reuniting once again in February, a month on Jeremy was arrested for assaulting Stephanie. He pleaded not guilty and is due in court on 7 August.

Now things have reached breaking point, friends say Stephanie’s family are begging her to see reason. The source adds: “They can’t bear to see her go through this, and just want an end to all this misery.”
