Robot doll lover:
“Sex was amazing – just like the real thing!”
When single Karley Sciortino heard about a state-of-the-art male sex robot, she was curious to know how it compared to the real thing.
The adventurous 31-year-old is one of the first to try out £5,000 pleasure-bot Gabriel, made by American company Sinthetics. Gabriel is a very lifelike, fully adjustable 5ft 9 silicone doll with a muscular body, authentic blue eyes, real human body hair and even comes with two 7-inch penises – one erect and the other flaccid – which are modelled on a porn star’s.
Speaking as experts claim dolls like Gabriel will be commonplace within 10 years, Karley says: “Initially I was sceptical about sleeping with Gabriel as I didn’t think it would be at all like the real thing. But it was an amazing sexual experience. You can really get yourself into a place where it does feel like you’re actually having sex with a person.”
SOMETHING NEW
Karley, a writer from New York, first heard about Gabriel in 2016 when she was working on a documentary about pleasure dolls for women. It was then that company Sinthetics gave her the chance to try out the experience for herself.
Karley explains: “I’m always adventure-seeking when it comes to sexuality, so I liked the idea of trying something new.
“For me, it’s not about wanting to recreate having sex with a human as I know I’d always prefer that – but I wanted to use the doll to enhance my own sexual experience.”
Karley adds: “We assume that men are more likely to enjoy sleeping with an object and that women need some sort of emotional connection to enjoy themselves, but that isn’t always the case.”
To get herself in the mood, Karley put on some sexy underwear, had a couple of drinks and dimmed the lights. She reveals: “I replicated what I would do with a real man. So I got on top of Gabriel, kissed him, touched his body and explored his abs before mounting his penis. It’s pretty big and, apart from being cold, it looks and feels so much like the real thing I’d have trouble telling it apart.”

Karley says that the level of sensation is completely different from a traditional sex toy. She explains: “You’re moving your body in a way you would with a real person and the skin feels so real it’s much easier to lose yourself.”
