LAUREN: ‘I need a celebrity boyfriend next’
She was reduced S to tears last week as she opened up about splitting from her jailbird boyfriend, Joey Morrison, during a TV interview.
Breaking down as she dubbed the 15-month romance “mentally draining,” Lauren Goodger revealed: “The pressure of being inside and seeing me going out was pressure on him… it’s been so hard.”
The former TOWIE star, 30, has been partying nonstop since rumours surfaced earlier this summer that she’d split from her criminal beau – something she finally confirmed two weeks ago.
Lauren also admitted in her interview that Joey didn’t like her going out. She then added: “My friends and family are glad I’ve split with Joey. It’s been too much… I feel under so much pressure at the moment. It’s knocked my confidence completely.”
Now pals say Lauren is keen to heal her broken heart by moving on and meeting a high-profile new man.
A source says: “She’s told pals she needs a celebrity boyfriend next. She’s messaging reality stars and soap actors on Twitter. Lauren’s hellbent on meeting a new man as soon as possible. She believes having a famous partner will help to cure her heartache over Joey. She hates being alone and is panicking.”
Lauren shot to fame on TOWIE in 2010, where her rocky 10-year relationship with Mark Wright, 30, was played out on screen until their split in 2011.
Mark went on to marry actress Michelle Keegan, 30, and pals say Lauren is desperate to be part of a showbiz power couple again. The source adds: “She hasn’t closed the door on Joey, but for now she’s putting all her energy into finding the next Mark.”
