Finding self-acceptance

-

We live in a world where image seems to W be everything. And thanks to the rise of editing apps, anyone can tweak their selfies to perfection. However, it’s spilling over to real life. In a worrying report on p22, we speak to selfie-obsessed women who have actually gone under the knife to achieve the filtered look they used on Instagram – with experts warning that apps are fuelling a rise in body dysmorphia. Refreshingly, we also speak to Loose Women star Stacey Solomon (p58), who reveals she’s beaten her body hang-ups by accepting herself as she is. And someone else who has found happiness in honesty is Gemma Collins. After struggling with fad diets, she’s learned to celebrate her body and is ready to meet The One. It makes sense that the starting point to finding love is learning to love who we really are.
