ALEXANDRA’S ‘SCREAMING MATCHES’ OVER GEMMA
She’s been wowing the judges and is among the favourites for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing alongside pro dancer Gorka Marquez. But reports have emerged of in-fighting backstage as Alexandra Burke clashes with Gorka over his growing romance with her rival Gemma Atkinson. The former X Factor winner is said to be having “full-blown screaming matches” during rehearsals with her dance partner.
Last month, Closer reported that Gorka, 27, and actress Gemma, 32, had been enjoying a string of secret dates and that Alexandra, 29, had been left fuming, fearing it could affect her chances of winning.
Gorka previously described the dynamics between him and Alexandra, saying that she was surprisingly bossy, despite him being the professional.
He revealed, “She shouts more at me than I shout at her. She brings the beast out of me.”
Alexandra previously added: “He’s scared of me. There was one time that he stopped mid-dance and I shouted and I screamed at him, saying, ‘You are meant to be a pro, don’t ever stop.’ He was like, ‘Whoa, OK girl. I will never stop again.”’
Alexandra has previously hit back at claims there was any animosity between herself and Gorka, saying, “Apparently I am (fuming and raging)! I don’t know where he has time to have anything going on!”
