Michelle’s anguish: “I’m worried about our future”
The actress has clashed with hubby Mark Wright over his ambitions to turn his family into US reality stars
His family have been documenting every aspect of their LA trip all over social media – attending a string of A-list bashes, dining at some of the town’s biggest celebrity hotspots and ensuring every moment is as star-studded as possible.
And now insiders tell Closer, that TV presenter Mark Wright, who is currently living in the US, is convinced he and his sisters Jessica, 32, Natalya, 17, and their parents have the potential to be “the next Kardashians” and become the biggest British stars America has seen in years.
A source reveals, “Mark knows how much his family love LA. His sister, Jess, has struggled back home to find
love and settle down like she’d hoped and would love a fresh start, while it could be a great opportunity for his younger sister Natalya, who’s already secured a high-profile modelling contract in the UK.”
SECRET MEETINGS
The source continues, “His brother Josh – a footballer – has commitments back home, but the rest of the family have all said their trip to LA could be a trial run with the view of possibly making a life for themselves there – and launching their careers Stateside.
“Mark has set up a string of secret meetings with TV networks and management companies in the hope of securing a show that he wants to call The Wrights – Coming To America.”
But sources close to Mark, who moved to LA last month to co-host new entertainment show Extra, say that his wife, actress Michelle Keegan, is unhappy about the prospect of a permanent move Stateside.

The source says, “Michelle was gutted when Mark told her about his plan over the phone while she’s abroad. She didn’t even know about the meetings he’d set up – Mark said he didn’t want to jinx anything by telling her.
“Michelle told Mark how his stint in LA was supposed to just be for 12 months and that she’d be unhappy if his family moving over there meant it could end up being their permanent base.
“She told him she doesn’t want to move to California – and isn’t keen on the prospect of being associated with a Kardashian-style reality show. She worries that their relationship would be put under far too much strain, and after everything they’ve been through, she doesn’t want to create a situation they may not be able to withstand.”

Earlier this year, the former Corrie star said she had no plans to launch a Hollywood career, adding, “We wouldn’t move – we love the UK too much.” And friends say Michelle’s now at breaking point following Mark’s confession. A source adds, “Michelle loves Mark and wants things to work, but she worries sometimes they are going in different directions and for the moment she can’t see them settling in LA. She’s made it clear she doesn’t see a future in this situation.
“Mark’s assured Michelle he won’t make any decisions until they’ve seen each other and had a proper chance to sit down and talk, but it’s clear one of them is going to have to compromise going ahead.”
