“Scarlett and Kem have great chemistry”
As romance rumours swirl around Scarlett Moffatt and Kem Cetinay, friends say they’re the perfect match
Rumours of R a blossoming romance between Scarlett Moffatt and Kem Cetinay picked up a gear last week after she was spotted in the audience during his first week on Dancing On Ice.
The move led many, including his Love Island ex Amber Davis, to speculate about the nature of their relationship.
After one fan commented on social media, “Definitely something going on between Kem and Scarlett Moffatt”, Amber quickly responded, “You said it”.
EARLY DAYS
Days later, Amber, 20, spoke about the pair on ITV1’S Lorraine, saying, “There are so many rumours, and you don’t know what to believe, ever. So long as he’s happy, I’m happy. And I just think he deserves to be happy, he’s such a lovely person.”
Despite Kem denying the claims, writing on Instagram that “she [Scarlett] don’t do Essex boys”, Scarlett has been sporting hair extensions, fuller lips and more defined eyebrows recently – a look made famous by TOWIE stars. She also recently went to Essex celebrity haunt Sheesh with reality stars, James “Arg” Argent and Pete Wicks.
And insiders say Scarlett and Kem are becoming more than just friends.
A source says, “It’s still early days, but Scarlett and Kem have grown close since meeting last year on the celebrity circuit, and friends think a romance is definitely on the cards. Her friends and family have all commented that she’s the happiest she’s ever been right now – and they’re sure that Kem is behind it.”
MOVING ON
Reports of a romance between the pair first started in December, after Scarlett, 27, shared two pictures of Kem, 21, holding her book, Me Life Story: Sofa, So Good! She captioned them: “Everywhere he goes… We’re up to four copies of my book now in the Kem library”. And hinting they were growing close, Love Island series producer Mike Spencer commented on the post, “You two” followed by a heart emoji.
If love is on the cards, it’ll follow a difficult few months for the pair, with Kem confirming he had split from Amber late last year and Scarlett’s relationship with on/ off hairdresser boyfriend Luke Crodden ending in October.
The source says, “Kem loves that Scarlett doesn’t take herself too seriously. She’s completely different to Amber and he finds that really refreshing. When they’re together they spend the whole time laughing. He’s a cheeky chappy and they share the same sense of humour.
“Scarlett’s hesitant to get into another relationship, especially with someone in the public eye, but there’s no denying they have great chemistry.”
